Charitable Contributions

One of the two main purposes of the Santa Cruz Chapter of Omega Nu is to meet the charitable needs of the local community. Since the first charity grant was made following the 1906 earthquake, the group has given over 1.7 million dollars to individuals, families and organizations in need, with over $256,300 donated in just the past 5 years.

Please include a request for specific items, their costs and the name, phone number and address of a contact person. Omega Nu provides for a variety of needs but does not pay salaries. A financial statement is required and will be mailed to applicants upon receipt of a request for aid.

Charity is generally funded in three cycles.
- Requests for the November funding cycle must be postmarked no later than October 15.
- Requests for the February funding cycle must be postmarked no later than January 15.
- Reuqests for the May funding cycle must be postmarked no later than April 15.
